Who we are

We are Claire Wheatley and Jess Leech. Two Fife mums owning and co-running Fife For Kids, a directory website & one-stop-shop for families in and visiting Fife.

Our website address is: https://fifeforkids.com.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We’ll be blunt, we’re not going to mess around with your data, because, well, that’s just creepy. We work hard to ensure Fife for Kids is a safe and trustworthy place to find information about Fife and discover new businesses for families.

We take care to ensure your data is kept safe and protected, and we only use it to contact you should it be deemed relevant BUT you should know we do collect some information and here’s why:

We want to give you the best possible experience when using our site or corresponding with us. We will only ever use the details you share with us to help make your experience with Fife for Kids the best it can be, and nothing else.

When visitors leave comments/reviews on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Nasty comments aren’t liked by anyone.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Visitors to the website can download and extract any location and contact information from listings for the their own personal use. E.g. finding the listed business. It is NOT to be used in anyway to market to/sell to/or otherwise annoy our valued companies. All listed businesses hold the copyright to their images being used and have given us permission to use them in relation to their listing. Duplicating without crediting the image is just rude. Don’t do it folks.

Contact forms
